In order to stimulate high quality training for Ph.D. students of the Research Institute, P&H offers financial support for International Research Seminars. These are 1- or 2-days, small scale (maximum 25 participants) seminars that take place in Hotel Mitland in Utrecht and are dealing with a specialist topic (either theoretical or methodological).

P&H will cover the costs of preparing/organizing the seminar and travel/accommodation of foreign expert(s) in the field who will join the teaching staff. In this way, seminar participants will only have to pay for their lunch/dinner and hotel costs. The P&H-grant (maximum 3.000 euro) will be (re)funded upon submission of a detailed specification of the actual costs of the seminar.

Proposals for International Research Seminar grants will be judged by the P&H Training Committee. To propose the organization of an International Research Seminar, please fill out the following form and send it to Lizet Hoekert (
