Types of membership
Researchers who are appointed at an institute that is officially affiliated to P&H, may apply for the following types of membership: (regular) senior member, postdoc member or Ph.D.-student member. Researchers from all other institutes may apply for a membership as affiliated senior member. Criteria for each type of membership can be obtained upon request from Mrs. Lizet Hoekert of the P&H Office (l.hoekert@uu.nl).

Regular senior member
  1. An affiliation with one of the institutions participating in P&H
  2. A Ph.D., preferably in one of the Social Sciences
  3. Actively performing research in the area of Psychology and Health that fits the mission of the Research Institute
  4. Scoring at least 50 points over the past five years by means of the following types of publications:
    • Publications published in scientific, refereed English-language journals (first author: 10 points; other author: 5 points);
    • A maximum of 10 points can be scored by:
      • (chapters in) English-language books/edited volumes, published by an internationally renowned academic publisher (first author: 10 points; other author: 5 points);
      • (chapters in) books/edited volumes in other languages, published by an internationally renowned scientific publisher (first author: 5 points; other author: 2 points);
      • second (NWO/ZON, KNAW) or third flow research grants on which Ph.D.-students and/or post-doc researchers of the Research Institute are appointed (second flow: 2 points per 50.000 Euro; third flow: 1 point per 50.000 Euro)

Affiliated senior member
See regular senior member, except for criterion 1.

Post-doc member
1. A Ph.D., preferably in one of the Social Sciences
2. Actively performing research in the area of Psychology and Health that fits the mission of the Research Institute
3. A positive evaluation of one's research project proposal by the P&H Research Committee

Regular Ph.D.-member
1. An affiliation as a Ph.D.-student/junior researcher to one of the institutions participating in P&H
2. At least one of the (co-)promotores is a (regular or affiliated) senior member of P&H
3. The Ph.D.-research should fit the mission of the Research Institute
4. A positive evaluation of one's research project proposal by the P&H Research Committee

Externally funded Ph.D.-member
See regular Ph.D.-member, except for criterion 1.
